Akurala Beach (Sinhala: අකුරල වෙරළ තීරය) is a popular tourist destination in Akurala in Galle District, Sri Lanka. The site can be reached by travelling along the Colombo-Galle road, about 5.4 km distance from Ambalangoda town. The beach is popular among the locals as well as foreigners as a place for safe bathing. The reef that has formed around the shallow water acts as a barrier and hence prevents hard sea waves.
