Dehikindayaya Ambalama (Passara) D ehikindayaya Ambalama , also known as Sapuroda Ambalama (Sinhala: පස්සර දෙහිකිඳයාය අම්බලමල සපුරොද අම්බලම), is an old wayside rest situated in Passara in Badulla District, Sri Lanka. History Ambalamas are traditional resting places built by locals to accommodate wayfarers who were travelling to distant places. They were also used as a place for people to gather, hold meetings and serve as a public place

The structure is square in shape and made of brick and mortar. The four-sided roof which is mainly held by four brick pillars at the corners of the structure has been covered with modern clay tiles.
