Manniththalai Siva Temple (Photo credit: Vel Ramanan, Google Street View) Manniththalai Siva Temple (Tamil: மண்ணித்தலை ஆதி சிவன் கோவில்; Sinhala: මන්නිත්තලෙයි පුරාණ ශිව කෝවිල) is a ruined Hindu Kovil situated in Manniththalai village near Pooneryn in Kilinochchi District, Sri Lanka. The present structure is 21 ft. long, 12.5 ft. wide (Pushparatnam, 2014). Like the Kavutarimunai Vinayakar Temple , this has been built with coral stones, bricks and nectar [( Cutai ) Pushparatnam, 2014]. The Vimana is 7 ft. high with 3 bases (Pushparatnam, 2014). The Tevakostam , Karnakkutu , Kutam , Calai and Pancaram of the temple resemble the South Indian Cola art tradition (Pushparatnam, 2014).
