Malegoda Pushparama Viharaya S ri Pushparama Purana Viharaya (Sinhala: මලේගොඩ ශ්රී පුෂ්පාරාම පුරාණ විහාරය) is a Buddhist temple situated in Malegoda village near Payagala in Kalutara District, Sri Lanka. The temple is popular among the devotees for the giant Bodhi tree ( Ficus religiosa ) on its premises. History Malegoda Pushparama temple is said to have been established around 2344 B.E. (1800 A.D.) and Habarakada Vipassi Thera of Weliwita Sri Saranankara lineage was the first incumbent of the temple. Dodangoda Sri Sudarshanaramaya (1855), Bopitiye Sri Silawamsaramaya (1865), Kongoda Sri Gangaramaya (1900) and Paraduwe Sri Indrajothyaramaya (1908) are the other four Viharas associated with this temple.
