Murungagala Archaeological Site or Murungagala Aranya Senasanaya (Sinhala: මුරුංගාගල පුරාවිද්‍යා ස්ථානය), is a site with the ruins of an ancient Buddhist forest hermitage situated in the Zone No. 01 of Mahiyanganaya Divisional Secretariat in Badulla District, Sri Lanka.

This place is traditionally believed to be an abode of an ascetic named Muruga. The site contains the remains of a Buddhsit monastery that include drip-ledged caves, Sandakada Pahana, urinal stones, ponds, parapet walls, and remnants of many buildings.
