Bandaranayake College (Sinhala: බණ්ඩාරනායක විද්යාලය, ගම්පහ; Tamil: பண்டாரநாயக்கா கல்லூரி, கம்பஹா) Gampaha Bandaranayaka College is a government boys' school situated in Gampaha, Sri Lanka. History The school was first established on 18 September 1918 as Henarathgoda Seewali Buddhist School at the place where Yasodara Devi Balika Vidyalaya is situated today. Charles Samaranayake was the first principal of the school from 1918 to 1922. In 1949, the school was renamed the Henarathgoda Senior Secondary School, and then it was established at its present location by the name Henarathgoda Secondary English School. It had been a mixed school up to 1985 and in 1993, it was promoted as a First Grade School. On 25 May 1993, the school was advanced to the National Level as Bandaranayake College. In 2017 it was named as a school of 1 AB category.
