Rathnavali Balika Vidyalaya, Gampaha

Rathnavali Balika Vidyalaya is a government girls' school situated in Gampaha, Sri Lanka.

History
The school was established on the present site in 1947 with the guidance of the Buddhist Theosophical Society and with the main contribution of Don David Karunaratne, a politician and one of the wealthiest men in the Gampaha area. It was opened with 62 girls students on 17 December 1947 as a school belonging to the Buddhist Theosophical Society. A. Denagama was the first principal of the school.

Facilities
At present, the school has common facilities such as classrooms, laboratories, libraries, playground, swimming pool etc. Classes are conducted for girl students from grade 6 to grade 13. Students are admitted to grade 6 on the basis of the results of the Scholarship Examination.
