Kirinda Dalada Viharaya
The conserved Stupa at Kirinda Dalada Viharaya (Photo credit: Anuradha Piyadasa, Google Street View) Sri Dalada Viharaya (Sinhala: කිරින්ද ශ්රී දළදා විහාරය) is a Buddhist temple situated in Kirinda in Hambantota District, Sri Lanka. The history of this site is obscure as it is not mentioned in any chronicle or epigraph. The present name indicates an unclear link between this temple and the Tooth Relic of Buddha . However, the remaining archaeological evidence proves that this site has a history running back to the Anuradhapura Period . The site consists of a small brick-built Stupa and a few remains of ancient structures including Korawakgal and Siri Pathulgal .
