Galahitiyawa Central College (Ganemulla)

Galahitiyawa Central College (Sinhala: ගලහිටියාව මධ්‍ය විද්‍යාලය, ගණේමුල්ල) is a government National school situated in Ganemulla in Gampaha District, Sri Lanka. It is one of the original 54 Central Schools established by C. W. W. Kannangara (b.1884-d.1969).

History
The school was established on 1 May 1944 as a Central College by C. W. W. Kannangara, the then Minister of Education, in the implementation of his free education scheme. The first intake was 60 students and the teaching staff included two teachers and Principal Silva.

Facilities
Presently, the school has common facilities such as classrooms, laboratories, libraries, medical units and playgrounds etc. Classes are held for students of grades 6 to 13 in both Sinhala and English languages and the students are admitted to grade 6 on the basis of the results of the Scholarship Examination.
