Ganethenna Raja Maha Viharaya (Sinhala: ගණේතැන්න රජමහා විහාරය) is a Buddhiat temple situated in Kumarapattiya Grama Niladari Division in Uva-Paranagama Divisional Secretariat in Badulla District, Sri Lanka.

History

Although there is no concrete evidence to prove, locals link the history of this temple to King Valagamba (103, 89-77 B.C.) of Anuradhapura (Priyadarshani & Gunasena, 2017). The image house, the Sri Pathul Gal and the staircase with Korawak Gal on the temple premises indicate the features rooting to the Kandyan Period (Priyadarshani & Gunasena, 2017).
