Kok Mottai Ruins in Wilpattu feature smooth granite pillars and are locally linked to Kuveni, though little historical information is known.
Kok Mottai Ruins (Wilpattu National Park) K ok Mottai Ruins (Sinhala: විල්පත්තු කොක්මොටේ නටඹුන්) are situated within the woods of Wilpattu National Park in Puttalam District, Sri Lanka. The site is located near to the Kok mottai DWC bungalow. No much information regarding the history of this site is available. According to locals, this ruined site is said to be one of the places sojourned by Kuveni, a princess of the local Yakkha tribe [(6th century B,C,) Goonatilake, 2006]. The tall granite pillars at this site are much smoother than those found at the site referred to as Kuveni Palace near Kalavilluwa.
