B uduruwagala Archaeological Museum (Sinhala: බුදුරුවගල කෞතුකාගාරය, Tamil: புதுருவாகல நூதனசாலை), Sri Lanka is one of the Regional Museums Administered by the Department of Archaeology . It is situated on the wayside of Wellawaya-Thanamalwila road approximately 5 km distance from Wellawaya town. History The museum was established in 1988 to display archaeologically and culturally valuable items in the Uva Province (Rambukwella, 2014). Artefacts The museum preserves a collection of artefacts mainly recovered from the Uva Province including the nearby Buduruwagala Archaeological Site . Antiquities of archaeological and historical value belonging to the Anuradhapura , Polonnaruwa and Kandy periods are also exhibited in the museum.
