Maha Vihara Alms-Hall or Refectory of Maha Vihara >(Sinhala: මහා විහාර දාන ශාලාව) is a ruined building located in the ancient city of Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. It is situated to the east of Ruwanweliseya Stupa and to the north of Lovamahapaya.
This building is considered to be the "Chatussala", the alms hall of Maha Viharaya. It was constructed in the 3rd century B.C. by King Devanampiya Tissa (247-207 B.C.). In the 2nd century A.D., this hall was renovated by King Vasabha (67-111 A.D.) following the architecture of the Mihintale Alms-Hall.
The building is square in shape and the length of one side is about 39.3 m (Wikramagamage, 2004). As found in the other refectories in Anuradhapura, the inner portion (inner courtyard) of this building has been paved with stone slabs (Wikramagamage, 2004). A lengthy stone rice trough known as Bat-Oruwa (about 45 ft long) is found on the eastern side of the building. Which is believed to be used to cater to about 3000 monks who lived at Maha Viharaya at the time. Stone troughs similar to this have also been found in the alms halls at Abhayagiriya, Jetavanaramaya, Inner City, and Mihintale.

මහා විහාර දාන ශාලාව
මහා විහාර දාන ශාලාව යනු ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ අනුරාධපුර පුරාණ නගරයේ රුවන්වැලිසෑයට නැගෙනහිර දෙසින් හා ලෝවාමහාපායට උතුරු දෙසින් පිහිටි නටඹුන් ගොඩනැගිල්ලකි. එය අතීතයේදී මහා විහාර භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලාගේ දාන ශාලාව වශයෙන් ප්‍රයෝජනයට ගෙන තිබෙයි.
මෙම ගොඩනැගිල්ල මහා විහාරයීය භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලාට දන් ලබා දුන් චතුස්සාලාව වියහැකි බව විශ්වාස කෙරේ. ක්‍රි.පූ. 3වන සියවසේදී දේවානම්පියතිස්ස රජු (ක්‍රි.පූ. 247-207) විසින් මෙය ඉදිකරන ලදී. පසුව ක්‍රි.ව. 2වන සියවසේදී මෙය මිහින්තලය දාන ශාලාවේ ගෘහ නිර්මාණ ශිල්පයට අනුරූපව වසභ රජු (ක්‍රි.ව. 67-111) විසින් පිළිසකර කරන ලදී.
චතුරස්‍රාකාර හැඩැති ගොඩනැගිල්ලෙහි එක් පසක මීටර 39.3ක් පමණ වේ. භික්ෂූන් වහන්සේලා 3000කට පමණ එකවර දානය සැපයිය හැකි අඩි 45ක් පමණ දිගැති ශෙෙලමය බත් ඔරුවක්/දන් ඔරුවක් ගොඩනැගිල්ලෙහි නැගෙනහිර දිශාවෙහි දැකගත හැකිය.
