Eth Vehera

Eth Vehera is a ruined Buddhist Stupa located in  Mihintale Monastery Complex in Anuradhapura District, Sri Lanka. It has been built on the highest elevation of the Mihintale mountain range.

History
As revealed by a slab inscription insitu, the Eth Vehera Stupa has been built by King Mahadatika Mahanaga (9-21 A.D.).

The Stupa
The brick-built Stupa is 3.5 m in height and has been erected on three terraces about 2 m high (Wikramagamage, 2004). The diameter of the Stupa is 14 m (Wikramagamage, 2004). It was renovated in 1984 (Wikramagamage, 2004).
