Mazraudeen School is a Madrasa school located near Jaffna town, Sri Lanka.

History
The school building was built in 1908 as a Madrasa school for the Muslim community in Jaffna who is believed to have been living in Jaffna since the 8th century A.D. (Haramoto et al., 2015). However, it was closed down with the eruption of the Sri Lankan Civil War in the 1980s and the Muslims in Jaffna were driven out by the LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam), a militant group designated as a terrorist organization by a number of countries including Sri Lanka, India, the USA and the EU. The LTTE was finally defeated by government forces in 2009.

Presently, a new building has been built and a primary school has been established at the premises for Muslim children who have returned to Jaffna after the end of the war (Haramoto et al., 2015).
