Palukadawala Wewa P alukadawala Wewa (Sinhala: පාළුකඩවල වැව) is a tank in Kurunegala District, Sri Lanka. Surrounded by Maha Galgamuwa Wewa to the north and Atharagalla Wewa to the south, it is the end tank of the Mi Oya Diversion Scheme. History The tank was improved and augmented in 1960 to receive diverted supply from Mi Oya River from Abakola Wewa , through Atharagalla Wewa (Arumugam, 1969). The Reservoir Palukadawala Wewa is one of the tanks located in the Mi Oya River Basin . Its bund length was about 3,800 feet and had a storage capacity of 5,700 acre feet by the late 1960s (Arumugam, 1969). The water extended over about 650 acres at its full supply level (Arumugam, 1969). The tank is fed by its 7-square-mile catchment and from an inlet channel from the nearby Atharagalla Wewa.
