Mirissa Beach

Mirissa Beach (Sinhala: මිරිස්ස වෙරළ තීරය; Tamil: மிரிஸ்ஸ கடற்கரை) is a popular shoreline in Mirissa in Matara District, Sri Lanka. 

The beach is popular among the locals as well as foreigners as a place for safe bathing and Whale Watching. Common bathing facilities are available in the vicinity area. The waves are strong but safe swimming is possible. A lifeguard cover is available on the beach.
