Alikata Ella Falls

Alikata Ella Falls (Sinhala: අලිකට ඇල්ල) is a cluster of small waterfalls situated on the southern end of the Samanalawewa Reservoir in the Ratnapura District, Sri Lanka. It is formed by the Walawe Gang, a river that originates on the Sri Pada Mountain.

The Falls

The waters of the Walawe Ganga River give rise to Alikata Ella Falls. Several shallow rock pools are visible at the bottom of each of the descending drops and they are unsuitable for safe bathing. Visitors are advised to view the falls from a distance.
