Abhayagiri Purana Viharaya is a Buddhist temple situated in Ambogama village in Kurunegala District, Sri Lanka.

History
The only archaeological monument found on this site is the small image house made of four stone pillars. The pillars are about 10 ft. tall and are believed to have been brought to the present site from somewhere (Mendis et al., 2019). A coin of Queen Lilavati (1197-1200, 1209-1210, 1211-1212 A.D.) of Polonnaruwa is said to have been found on the temple premises (Mendis et al., 2019).

A rock inscription written in the Later Brahmi Script has been discovered on a site near this temple (Mendis et al., 2019).
